Walk through Domburg: coast, art and Mondriaan

Discover Domburg during a 3 km walk through one of the oldest seaside towns in the Netherlands. You will walk through an area where nature, history and art have intersected for centuries — from elegant villas to the light that inspired Mondrian.

This route takes you past the most important places and stories of Domburg. We pause at its ancient origins, the bathing culture, and the artists who gave this place a role in art history. Enjoy the landscape that attracted artists — from sea and dunes to the famous Zeeland light that still enchants visitors today.

Arriving by car? Follow the parking route to one of the official parking areas. Parking outside these areas is only allowed for permit holders or visitors with a day ticket.

The best place to park is the De Molen parking area. This is also where the walk begins. At the Traverse parking area (near the town hall) there are special spaces for camper vans.

Arriving by bike? Park it in the bicycle parking area on the corner of Schuitvlotstraat and Domburgseweg. From there, walk via Schuitvlotstraat and Roosjesweg to the windmill.
