Cycling route through the forest near Burgh-Haamstede, over the dunes near Renesse and along the Oosterschelde

This junction cycling route takes you through the northern part of Schouwen. You cycle through the extensive Boswachterij Westerschouwen, over dunes and across open polder landscapes with beautiful views of the Oosterschelde. Along the way you pass places such as Renesse, Scharendijke, Westenschouwen and Burgh-Haamstede.

One of the striking highlights along the route is the Plompe Toren, the last remaining part of the drowned village of Koudekerke. In this varied landscape forests, beaches, rolling dunes and farmland alternate constantly.
